Input Sought on New Food Truck Bill

You're invited to give your input on a city bill that would permit food trucks. Honolulu city officials want to hear from food truck owners and operators that would help them develop rules for the implementation of the bill. Bill 1 is a two-year pilot program that grants permits to food trucks within the Hawaii Capital Special District. Mayor Kirk Caldwell returned the bill to Council unsigned because of the absence of testimony from food truck operators. It became law on March 28th. The public meeting will be held on Thursday, April 24th in the Mission Memorial Hearings Room.
